These journals can also be classified as "peer-reviewed", "refereed", or "academic" journals.These journals are written for experts or scholars in the field.  Nature is an example of a scholarly journal. Popular magazines contain articles written by a journalist or writer. They are written for general audiences. Time and Vogue are examples of popular journals.
